One reviewer describes the tonkotsu ramen as having a “depth of flavors with a lot of miso and garlic,” highlighting the artful mastery behind each dish. However, it’s not just the food that shines; the service at Yutaka is consistently noted as attentive and warm, providing that extra touch that makes diners feel right at home.

Of course, it’s worth noting that the restaurant’s popularity does mean there can be a wait, especially during peak times. But rest assured, the delightful food and inviting atmosphere make it all worthwhile. In the words of one happy diner, “This place is a 10/10. Enjoy the food!”

First visit, a Friday evening, the dining area is very small. Thankfully, we arrived before the early dinner rush. The service was fine. The food we ordered was not your typical ramen or sushi. The spicy miso ramen had chashu(pork belly) but it was overcooked. If you don't like a lot of spice, they will bring it on the side so you can add the spice to your liking. The ramen's addition of corn was an unique twist on your typical ramen. The Vegas roll was pretty good. A couple of us found it to be too cream cheese heavy.

Oh, where do I begin? This little hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurant is an amazing place to eat. I like and love this place. I sneak away to this place at least twice a month sometimes more depending on my schedule and mood. It is small in size but it feels like home and comfortable at the same time. It is quiet and I like that because I don't like competing with the music or television. When it comes to service they are more reserved, to say the least. I don't see smiles often or even laughter among the servers. They sometimes welcome you and other times not. However, they are respectful and do ask if everything is okay and if the food is to our liking. When it comes to drink refills I always have to ask. They don't assume or politely ask if I would like another. That annoys me sometimes but good food overrides that sometimes. That's the reason for my 4 stars for service. The tables are small and they have big plates so be prepared to do tetris with your food. Since it is a small establishment you will have to sit at a table for 2 if there are 2 of you or a table for 1. I do have my favorites and I think the pictures will show that to you. I highly recommend this place. Happy Eating

Great little Japanese restaurant, 4.5 stars. Edamame were fresh and had just the right amount of salt. Gyoza were crispy and fresh with delicious filling. Tonkatsu Ramen was amazing, Chashu was delicious, noodles were perfect and the broth was amazing. Best Ramen I have had in Phoenix.

Food was absolutely incredible. Easily the best sushi in town. Easily the best Ramen in town as well. Place is a bit small and saw people having to get on a wait list, or leave. This place is a 10/10. Enjoy the food!

Food is good but the girl who greet us need to work on her customer service. She seated us at the table and the table was wet and my fiance ask for napkins , she gave us a napkins came with her attitude, just gave us and walk away. The waiter was nice and helpful with our orders. The place is very small and you will expect for a wait time sometimes 25 - 30 min depends on how busy they are. We tried the potatoes croquettes, california roll and dynamite roll. Potatoes croquettes was ok. Wasnt that good. But for next time im in town will try to come back and try different.

The tonkotsu ramen had a depth of flavors with a lot of miso and garlic on the front. Chirashi pork was nice and soft. I would have liked the egg to be a bit more soft boiled but it was still very good. The monkey brains were a bit disappointing because I was expecting a stuffed and deep fried mushroom based on the description but the portion size and flavors were good. Service was outstanding. Patient with new customers, good knowledge of the menu, and above all a great sense of humor. I would definitely go back.
